About this program

The program is designed both for patients recovering from a hospital stay as well as those who did not require hospitalization but are recovering from COVID-19 and bed rest-related impairments. The goal of the program is to address the physical and cognitive decline that impacts strength, cardiovascular endurance, joint mobility, speech, swallowing, and cognition.

The team is comprised of physical, occupational, and speech therapists who have unique experience working with COVID-19 patients in the hospital and during a patient’s transition to an outpatient setting. Their deep understanding of a patient’s progression and symptoms during recovery led to the development of a model of care for patients with COVID-19 related complications.
